Neurofeedback Testimonials
After about 5 sessions, I noticed a remarkable difference in my ability to focus, and the level of commitment I gave to projects. On a personal level, I was able to lose 25 lbs and get in the best physical shape I've been in for 15 years. Neurofeedback training definitely worked for me.

My first round of neurofeedback training occurred four years ago, when I completed 30 sessions. This time around, I am noticing the inner shifts are more profound as I move towards a sense of peace and wellbeing. Even more interesting is that I notice everyone in my life also changing with me, even though they know nothing of what I am doing. My self-awareness is deepening, I am learning to let go of my inner critic, and I am embracing the excitement that is life. Melanie has been wonderful in helping me notice these important yet sometimes subtle changes. She has been monumental in helping me gain a deeper understanding and acceptance of myself through our work together. Her commitment in her work comes from her love and passion in helping others connect to their true selves.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience in helping me on this journey. I look forward to continuing to work with you as we grow together.

When Melanie first explained the process of Neurofeedback training, one of the benefits she listed, really resonated with me: the allowing of the True Self to the surface. I got really excited about this possibility, and I jumped fully into this experience, trusting Melanie to guide me through it. With each session I felt very relaxed, yet alert; my mental fog of tiredness got continually less, and I experienced clarity in my life direction and a new-found boldness in my way of being in the world. I moved through my emotions faster—feeling them fully and letting them go completely. It has become easier to feel clear, serene and happy. I am able to speak my truth more easily, with no apprehension, asserting myself with gusto and a tangible personal power. After ten sessions, I feel the “ride” was well worth it. I sense my True Self guiding me in my life. Melanie, thank you for this incredible process!

Mel was great at explaining things to me. By the end of my set of sessions, I had noticed a big difference in my performance at work. My attention span had increased and I had much more energy as my sleep had also improved. Even my co-workers noticed that I was in a constant good mood. I began to enjoy my work again. One thing that I noticed from my training was a sharp increase in my self-awareness. At times, this was difficult to accept, because you often see things you don't like; I needed to cultivate self-honesty in the process. Melanie helped me understand and embrace this self-awareness.

My work as a nurse requires regular 12 hour shift rotations. Before Neurofeedback training, I found that I could not sleep well or stay awake when I needed to. The first time I sank into Melanie’s chair, I was so exhausted, I believe that I fell asleep immediately. But when the session ended, I felt quite relaxed and the hard edges of fatigue had softened immensely. I began to notice how alert and sharp I felt after. Over time, I could recover from shift rotations quicker and effortlessly.
I find that I have less emotional charge around most of the stuff that used to set me off. I have moments of great clarity and self-awareness, and I find that my perceptions are taking on a less critical, more accepting flavour. I have also noticed changes in my son.
When he was 11 years old, I had become very concerned about the tantrums and fits he would throw when he didn’t get his way. I brought him in to see Melanie, hoping that she could help. After 6 sessions of Neurofeedback, his tantrums dissolved away. He is maturing and showing self-reliance that I had not believed possible, given his past behaviour. I believe that Melanie has helped me and my son develop inner balance. I would strongly recommend Neurofeedback to anyone needing that.

Over time, I became calmer and more able to deal with difficult relationships. I also felt subjectively, that people were responding to me in a more positive way. I became more in a "carpe diem" mode. One day I had a brief transcendental experience. I was not meditating and had never any such experience before or since. It was quite a worthwhile and validating few moments in time.

I am a very skeptical person by nature; even more so when it comes to the intangible “touchy-feely" type of modalities. I just wanted to let you know that after six sessions with you, I now feel dramatically more relaxed; I am sleeping better and overall just feel more "grounded”. Daily stresses now bounce off me as opposed to dragging me down. I still don’t quite understand the science behind “Total Mind Training" but for me it truly was an epiphany. I want to pass on a genuine THANK-YOU.

One of the most obvious effects of Neurofeedback training has been the experience of deep relaxation. After a stressful day at the office, I often came home feeling worn out, and beat up. Having a Neurofeedback session takes the edge off, and I can relax and fully enjoy my family time.
Thanks for the help—my family really appreciate it!

Personal Training:
Prior to starting Melanie’s Resistance/Stretching therapy 3 months ago, I experienced lower back pain to the extent where I had to stop walking every 5/10 minutes to stretch and “unlock” my back before I could continue. I also walked with a pronounced limp to compensate for the pain in my right hip. I experienced great difficulty with daily tasks that involved bending over, e.g., tying shoelaces, cutting toenails, picking up boxes, etc. I could not raise my arms vertically above my head touching my ears. I experienced significant pain and tightness in my groin and hamstring muscle groups. In general, I was resigned to a future experiencing a gradual but inevitable increase of pain and restricted mobility.
Melanie started working with me 3 months ago - once a week for a 90-minute session. The benefits were gradual but significant. The lower back and the hip pain have dissipated to the extent where I can walk without a limp or stopping to stretch. I can bend over without difficulty to accomplish tasks at ground level. Both shoulders have increased flexibility and I can now touch the sides of my head with arms fully extended vertically.
Melanie is a highly motivated and dedicated professional, whose work ethic and humorous “bed-side manner” are contagious. Based on my experience and results I have every confidence in recommending her stretching/resistance therapy to anyone who has a similar history and symptoms.

After the first treatment I felt completely relaxed for about 5 minutes. It was wonderful. I was very sore but I took an Epsom Salt bath after Melanie explained that her work was stirring up the toxins buried in my muscles and the bath would get them out of my body. It worked. After each treatment I have been progressively more relaxed and my level of anxiety has decreased. I went for a massage recently and the therapist was amazed at how deeply he could go into my muscles, particularly without causing me pain. Another benefit is that my body temperature is warming up from the increased blood flow. My flexibility has improved and I can go noticeably deeper in yoga poses. (I love the comments I get in yoga class.)
I find Melanie to be thoughtful and patient and she is a lot of fun to work with. I can’t begin to thank her for the difference this treatment has made in my life. I would highly recommend this process to anyone who wants to feel their best.

I began Ki Hara stretching as part of my training program for a walking holiday. I was concerned about my shoulders and carrying a back pack and for my general flexibility. When I was on my holiday I did the stretches every night and I had no problem with my body even after walking 20 or more kilometers a day.
My husband also worked with Melanie. He has many physical problems due to a partial paralysis on one side of his body. With her strengthening and stretching he has improved posture and ease of movement. His focus and awareness of individual muscle groups also improved allowing for more ease of movement.
Melanie was very understanding of our individual needs. She is careful to balance the muscles groups so that the whole body works together. I found her to be very knowledgeable about the body and if a restriction did not allow a movement to occur she was quickly able to find a variation that suited my body. Although we are active people to keep our bodies moving stretching is very important and the balance that the Ki Hara creates is amazing!

As a senior slowpitch player, I routinely suffer from many aches and pains, especially during the early season when the weather is cold. At the age of 62 and playing five times a week, my body was not recovering between games as quickly as it did in my younger years.
I initially went to Melanie for Reflexology, but after seeing how stiff I was, she suggested I try some assisted stretches as well. I was suffering from the pain of arthritic joints and very tight muscles, which caused me to very slowly, shuffle my way around the diamond. Thanks to the stretching program that Melanie designed for me, my game improved considerably. My wife and team-mates have all commented on my increased speed on the bases and I feel great ease in my legs when I run.
Thank you Melanie for your fine work.
